Who we are: Dexterous Weddings is a brand of Dexterous Digital, based in Edenvale, Gauteng, South Africa. Contact us at hello@dexterousdigital.co.za or +27 83 790 7230. Our Information Officer is the owner of Dexterous Digital, who you can reach at the same email address.
What we collect: When you contact or book us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, wedding date, venue, the services you want and anything you tell us in your message. When you book, we also collect the billing details we need for invoices. When you visit this site, our website host Pixieset collects basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site.
Why we use it: To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes and contracts, deliver your photos, film and stationery, take payments and meet our legal and tax duties. We process your information because you asked us to, to perform our contract with you, or because the law requires it (POPIA section 11).
Photos of you: Your images are personal information. We only share them in our portfolio, blog or social media if you agree to this in your contract or in writing, and you can withdraw that consent for future use at any time.
Who we share it with: Only service providers who help us run the business, such as Pixieset (website and online galleries), our email provider, our accounting software and, where needed, a second shooter or print lab. Some of these store data outside South Africa; we only use providers bound by adequate data protection terms (POPIA section 72). We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it: Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months. Client records and invoices are kept for 5 years, as required for tax. Online galleries are kept as stated in your contract.
Your rights: You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Email us and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Security: We use password-protected accounts and secure (HTTPS) services, and limit access to people who need it.
Changes: We will update this page if our practices change.
